What exactly is colon cancer?
Colon cancer can develop in the colon or rectum and is the third most common cause of cancer-related fatalities in the United States. Due to their comparable symptoms, colon and rectal malignancies are sometimes referred to as “colorectal cancer” combined. The majority of colorectal malignancies begin as a polyp, or growth, on the rectum or colon’s inner lining. There are several types of polyps; certain polyps have a chance of developing into cancer over time, but not all polyps do.
How Common Is Colon Cancer?
Age is a risk factor for colorectal cancer, often known as colon cancer. Over-50-year-old men and women are more likely to receive a diagnosis.
